Short biography

Graduated from Ternopil State Medical Institute in 1974.From 1974 to 1979 worked as surgeon in Borschiv Central District Hospital.From 1979 to 1984 worked as a surgeon, and later a head of the surgical department of Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital.From 1984 he was elected as assistant of Department of hospital surgery of Ternopil State Medical Institute.In 1987 he defended his thesis on "Age aspects of cholecystitis surgery."In 1987 was established the vascular surgery department at the Ternopil Regional Hospital, where he has been appointed as a curator.In 1991 he was awarded the rank of associate professor.In 1997 he defended his doctoral thesis on "Methods of prevention of thrombosis of aloshunt (prosthesis) in the reconstruction of atherosclerotic aorto-femoral segment."

In 1999 awarded the academic title of professor.Among the priority areas of scientific interest should provide the developed surgical tactics in the surgical treatment of multi atherosclerotic occlusions of the aorta and main arteries of the lower extremities, the choice of volume of reconstructions of arteries with critical lower limb ischemia, developing techniques for the prevention of arterial thrombotic complications of the reconstructed segment, correction of the reperfusion syndrome in the surgical treatment of atherosclerotic occlusions of major arteries, the use of indirect methods of revascularization of chronic critical lower limb ischemia, surgical correction of chronic venous insufficiency in posttromboflebitic syndrome, the choice of volume and consistency of surgical treatment while carotid atherosclerotic lesions and the major arteries of the lower extremities.These areas of scientific research implemented in 9 protected master's theses.Is the author of 34 patents for utility model. Published 262 scientific works, including the monograph "Prevention of thrombosis aloshunt / prosthesis after the reconstruction of the aorta and main arteries" (1997), monograph "Combined atherosclerotic occlusion of extracranial arteries and terminal abdominal aortia" (2005).He is a co-author of three books: "Hospital Surgery" (1999), "Clinical Surgery" (2000), "Surgery" (2011.), 3 manuals: "Emergency Surgery" (2000), "The clinical phlebology" (2006), "Venous thrombosis and its complications" (2011).

Andriy R. Vayda. Assistant professor of Department of general and minimally invasive surgery of Ternopil State Medical University, PhD. Vascular surgeon.

In 1996 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Institute. In 1996 - 1999 he studied at the Master at the Department of Oncology, Radiology Diagnostics, Therapy and Radiation Medicine of TSMU. From March 1999 to 2000 - worked as an assistant in the same department.

In 2000 he defended his thesis on "Pathogenetic substantiation of surgical correction of hemodynamic abnormalities in liver in case of obstructive jaundice" (experimental and clinical study), HAC solution assigned a degree of candidate of medical sciences.On 1 December 2000 - the assistant, and since 2006 Associate Professor of Hospital Surgery Department of TSMU. From 2009 to 2014 - assistant professor of Department of surgery with anesthesiology #2 of Ternopil State Medical University.Since 2014 - assistant professor, head teacher of the department of general and minimally invasive surgery.The author of 88 scientific and methodical works, co-author of 17 patents. Co-author of the textbook "Surgery", edited by prof. Leonid Ya. Kovalchuk (2010).Repeatedly held internships on vascular surgery in different clinics of Germany.Research interests:- Prevention and treatment of patients with critical limb ischemia- Repeated reconstructive surgery on main arteries of the lower extremities- Surgical treatment of distal occlusions of the arteries of the lower extremities

S. Kostiv graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Academy in 2001.From 2001 to 2003 he earned masters degree at the Department of hospital surgery of the Ternopil State Medical academy. He defended his master's thesis on the topic "Prevention of steal syndrome in the reconstruction of aorto-iliac segment."From January 2003 to December 2003 S.Kostiv worked as a teacher of surgery at medical college of Ternopil State Medical academy.From December 2003 to June 2005 he studied in graduate school at the Department of hospital surgery of TSMA.In 2005 he defended his thesis "Correction of reperfusion syndrome in the surgical treatment of atherosclerotic occlusion of aorto-femoral segment".From September 2005 to May 2009 he worked as an assistant professor of general surgery with topographic anatomy, traumatology and orthopedics.Since June 2009 he worked as the assistant of the Department of surgery with anesthesiology .In 2014 he received the academic rank of assistant professor of surgery with anesthesiology.Since June 2014 he is an associate professor of the Department of general and minimally invasive surgery.In June 2013 at the problem commission "Surgery" he approved doctoral thesis on the topic "Endothelial dysfunction in the postoperative thrombosis of the inferior vena cava system - prevention, diagnosis and treatment."

Gerasimyuk Nazar Ilyich in June 2005 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical University. In 2005-2008 - internship in specialty "Surgery" at the surgical Department of the Ternopil regional municipal hospital. In 2008 he entered the study at clinical residency in surgery at the Department of urology surgery, minimally invasive surgery and anesthesiology of the Ternopil State Medical University, which ended in 2010. In December 2010 was enrolled to study in graduate school at the Department of Surgery №1 at Ternopil State Medical University. On December 16, 2013 Gerasimyuk Nazar Ilyich was accepted as assistant professor of minimally invasive endoscopic surgery, urology, orthopedics and traumatologyof the Institute of Postgraduate Education of Ternopil State Medical University .

Assistant professor of the Department of general and minimally invasive surgery of Ternopil State Medical University. In 1999 Loiko II graduated with honors from Ukrainian Gymnasium of Ternopil and went to study at the medical faculty of Ternopil State Medical University, from which he graduated in 2005, receiving a diploma with honors.During 2005-2008 he held an internship in specialty "Surgery" at the surgical Department of the Ternopil University Hospital. From 2008 to 2010 he studied in clinical residency at the Department of surgery №1 of Ternopil State Medical University.In 2010 he worked as an oncology surgeon at the Ternopil Municipal Hospital #2.Loiko II in 2010 as a surgeon successfully got second qualification surgical category.From December 2010 to 2013 Loiko II - post-graduate student of the Department of surgery №1 of Ternopil State Medical University.Under the leadership of corresponding member of AMS of Ukraine, Honored Scientist of Ukraine, professor L. Kovalchuk he finished in 2014 and successfully defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences in specialty "Surgery" on "Correction of gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients with peptic ulcer."Loiko II is the author and co-author of over 30 scientific publications, including foreign periodicals; 11 of publications - in professional medical journals. He is the author of 7 inventions and utility models.Research interests Loiko II are associated with surgical treatment of peptic ulcer, reflux esophagitis, introduction of new laparoscopic treatment of most common diseases of the abdominal cavity.

Research activities:

2010-1012 - postgraduate study in "Surgery" specialty. In 2012 he defended a dissertation for the degree of a candidate of medical sciences in the specialty "Surgery" on the theme "Trophic ulcers of venous genesis - tactics of surgical treatment". Since 2012, he has been the assistant of the Department of Surgery and Anesthesiology №2, and since 2014 the Department of Surgery №2 of Ternopil State Medical University named after I. Ya. Gorbachevsky.

Scientific interests. Study and application of innovative methods of diagnostics and treatment in surgery and vascular surgery in particular.

Scientific publications. The author and co-author of 43 articles and materials of conferences, 8 patents, 2 innovative proposals.
